Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to Slushable websites, web tools, and the Slushable mobile application offered by Really Nice ("Slushable," "we," "us," or "our"). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.

If a future version of Slushable adds new permissions, new data uses, or materially different features, we will update this policy before or when those changes go live.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. If you contact support or otherwise reach out to us, we may collect your email address and the contents of your message. If you use AI-powered or calculator features, we may process the prompts or values you submit in order to generate the requested output.

Information collected automatically. We may collect usage, device, browser, referral, approximate location, performance, and diagnostic information when you use the Service. This may include IP-based location, pages viewed, screens visited, taps or button clicks, timestamps, browser type, operating system, and similar analytics or log data.

Preferences stored on your device. We use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to remember settings such as your preferred unit system and to measure how the website is used.

Current version limits. Based on the current version of the Service covered by this policy, we do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, payment card numbers, or government-issued identifiers through Slushable features described here.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve Slushable, provide calculators and AI-generated recipe suggestions, respond to support requests, analyze usage, secure the Service, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with you about service changes when appropriate.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the Service as a data broker. We do not intentionally use your information for third-party behavioral advertising.

Service Providers and Sharing

We share information only as reasonably necessary to run Slushable. Our current providers may include Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery, Google Analytics for usage analytics, and Google's Gemini models for AI-generated recipe responses.

These providers may process personal data on our behalf to host the Service, store submitted data, generate outputs you request, analyze product usage, or keep the Service secure and available. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or transaction counterparties when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the business.

If you download or use Slushable through Apple services, Apple may separately collect information under its own terms and privacy policies. That Apple-handled information is controlled by Apple, not by us.

AI Features

When you use AI features, the prompt or values you submit may be sent to Google to generate the requested response. Please do not include sensitive personal information in prompts unless you are comfortable sharing it for that purpose.

We do not promise that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific dietary, safety, legal, or health-related purpose. You are responsible for reviewing any generated output before relying on it.

Legal Bases

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent, performance of a contract or pre-contract request, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and marketing Slushable in a way that is not overridden by your rights.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law.

Support and contact information may be kept until your request is resolved or we determine it is no longer needed. Analytics, logs, and diagnostic records may be kept for shorter or longer periods based on operational need and provider settings. We do not intentionally store AI prompts in a dedicated customer profile database unless needed for support, abuse prevention, or service integrity.

International Transfers

Slushable and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States and other locations where our vendors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to some processing. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

You can request privacy help or deletion by emailing us at support@slushable.com.

You can also manage some browser-based collection by blocking cookies, clearing local storage, or adjusting browser privacy settings, although parts of the website may not work as intended afterward.

Children's Privacy

Slushable is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email when appropriate.
