Big-batch favorites from the library
Crowd-friendly recipes from the Slushable library, already balanced to the 12–16° Brix slush zone. Scale any of them to your hopper before you fill.
Service tips for parties
- Pre-chill two batches: one in the hopper, one in the fridge ready to top up.
- Taste after 20 minutes: adjust sweetness with syrup if it's too icy.
- Use small cups: keeps line moving and mix cycling evenly.
- Scrape walls: loosen frozen layer every 10–15 minutes for even texture.
Batch scaling
Double any recipe with the batch scaling tool to keep Brix intact. Keep total fill under 90% of the hopper and pre-chill the scaled mix for faster service.
Scaling is the step people skip. Doubling a recipe by eye moves the sugar and alcohol balance, and a batch that lands outside the 12–16° Brix zone will not freeze no matter how long it runs. Put the recipe and your hopper size into the batch scaling tool and it works the amounts back out for you.
