Slush Ratio Calculator

The ultimate slush calculator

Enter every ingredient row that reaches the hopper. This version uses the new weighted ingredient logic, so freeze point, slush point, ABV, and Brix all come from the real batch instead of a shortcut estimate.

Add every mixer, syrup, juice, liqueur, spirit, and water row you plan to pour, then read the live Slushometer and status to correct the batch before it hits the machine.

FAQ

Slush ratio FAQ

Most home machines slush best between about 12 and 16 Brix. Below that the mix tends to freeze into a hard block; above it the mix stays syrupy and struggles to set.

Alcohol lowers the freezing point, so the more you add the harder a batch is to freeze. Keep finished drinks roughly under 12 to 15 percent ABV and compensate with extra sugar so the texture still holds.

It is usually too concentrated. Too much sugar or alcohol pushes the freezing point below what your machine reaches, so it never sets. Add water to bring the slush point back into range.

The mix usually does not have enough sugar. When Brix is too low, the freezing point sits near 0 degrees Celsius, so the batch can set rock hard. Add more of the sugar-bearing ingredients to soften it.

Yes. Add water as its own row so the calculator sees the real dilution and can compute an accurate freeze point and slush point for the whole batch.

Yes. The freeze-point math is machine agnostic. If you have a Ninja SLUSHi specifically, use the dedicated Ninja SLUSHi calculator for preset-aware guidance on low-sugar alerts and spiked-slush limits.
