What is Slushable?

Slushable is a free app and recipe library for home slush machines. Every recipe is rebalanced to the right sugar (Brix) and alcohol (ABV) so it actually freezes into a smooth slush — no watery puddles or rock-solid blocks.

These recipes are dialled in for countertop slush machines like the Ninja Slushi. You can still blend them as a frozen drink, but the sugar and alcohol are tuned specifically so they freeze cleanly in a machine.

Yes. Every recipe is free to browse here, and the Slushable app is a free download. Open any recipe in the app to scale the batch to your machine and run a guided freeze.

It's almost always the Brix or ABV. Too much sugar or alcohol stops a mix from freezing; too little turns it to ice. Slushable works those numbers out for you, so each recipe lands in the slushable zone.
